Magic That Pleases The Eye!

     Silk magic, comedy tricks, ideas that apply to close up work, ideas for kid show tricks, routines that are ideal for banquet shows, tricks that work great on stage... and more!

     This lecture is a magical experience that inspires, instructs, and entertains!  Duane uses magic and performs routines just like he would for a regular show.  Then he explains the methods and secrets in a clear and easily understood manner.  Along with trick explanations, there will be tips on showmanship and stage presence.

Convention Performance Options...

#1. The Silk Act - Two versions: 7 minutes or 10 minutes.  Upbeat music and flashy colorful magic that fills the largest stage.  An exciting presentation featuring many beautiful effects.  Set up time on stage is only 30 seconds and the act ends with a clean and clear stage.

#2. Extended Act - Whatever length you need.  Example:  They open with the shorter version of the silk act then do tricks that involve patter and audience participation.  They end with a production of silks and flowers that fills the stage.  A good length for this act is 15 minutes, but they can easily do more time.

#3. Close-Up/Parlor Act - A most unique silk ball and vase effect, clever version of the Linking Ropes, unusual sponge ball tricks, the "Palmo" routine, and more that creates a magically delightful up close experience.

#4. Illusion Act - Duane and Mary have their own theater in Libby, Montana.  The are experienced with a number of large scale illusions and have some big effects that are unique.  They can provide a fast paced set of grand illusions.

#5. Emcee - Duane has worked hard to become a skillful emcee.  He will keep the show moving along with smooth yet entertaining transitions, fascinating sight gags, and family friendly humor.
